Cody Hudson x Converse has joined forces to make this special edition (Product)RED Chuck Taylor. Growing up in New Jersey as well as being an 80's baby there was only one boot we would wear, Timberlands. In 2010 times have changed fewer people look to the wheat construction boots and have turned to Nike ACG line. Fashion house Gucci has been moving in full force with pop-up stores from New York to London. Now its Tokyo turn to get their fair spin of the pop-ups. To support the event Gucci has designed an exlusive Icon-Temporary collection which is said to have a Tokyo influence. The highly-anticipated collabo between East and West is finally being released. Nike Sportswear has decided to use two of the best DJs ever, DJ AM and DJ Premier, for the inspiration. DJ AM dunk hi is detailed with  AC/DC-inspired logo on the tongue and perforations to match the markings on a Tecnics 1200 turntable on the heel atop a bit of reflective material. On the flipside DJ Premier Air Force 1 is more for new yorkers fitted with dark colors and tough materials. Premier’s name is laser-etched on the heels with another logo etched on the forefoot. I feel a bit dirty posting K-Swiss products, during the time and area I grew up in these were consider a type of tramp stamp.They sure have come a long way from those dreadful days. The Classic High has been revamped with these two limited colors patent red upper with a black sole and a bronze upper with white sole. For the past five years, Nike had been a wonderful supporter of the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital located in Portland, Oregon by producing limited edition sneakers designed in hand with patients of the hospital. All proceeds from these sneakers then go to benefit the hospital in aid to purchase medical equipment, supplies, pay for research grants and help out families in need.

This year, Nike is back with another charity project for the hospital - Air Yeezy for Doernbcher Charity Auction. In this special auction, two pairs of one-off shoes will be auctioned off on ebay with all proceeds going to the children’s hospital. From this special series is a pair of black Air Yeezy with special Air Jordan VI (6) tooling. These sleek black leather kicks accented with a black patent leather Yeezy strap come housed in a special white-laser customed shoe box with one of the first sketches done by Mark Smith, Creative Director of Jordan Brand, at the beginning of the project.

These shoes come in size 12 and is now available for bidding on eBay till 7:30 pm PDT of September 19th.
